(B) CTC Fannings
Orange Pekoe tea is a grade of medium to fine quality whole leaf black tea, consisting of the top two tea leaves and bud. Orange Pekoe teas are exclusively black teas. Orange Pekoe is a grade of tea, not a blend.
Fannings are small particles of tea leaves used almost exclusively in tea bags. These are higher in grade than Dust tea. Black-leaf tea with few added ingredients, uniform particle size, and no tips.
Orange Pekoe contains powerful antioxidants called catechins, theaflavins, and flavonoids, a type of polyphenols, aiding in heart health
(C) CTC Dust
The full form of CTC is crush, tear, and curl. It is a processing method where black tea leaves are passed through a series of cylindrical rollers that have hundreds of sharp teeth that crush, tear, and curl the tea into small, hard pellets. CTC teas also have grades depending on the tea leaf. A few CTC tea grades would include BPO1(Broken Orange Pekoe one), GF BPO (Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe one), BPS (Broken Pekoe Souchong) and more.
